We recently covered the news about the Oppo A3 and A3x being officially announced. Now, the Oppo A3 4G has been introduced in the Mexican market under a different name: the Oppo A40 4G. The Oppo A40 4G shares all the same features and specs as the Oppo A3 4G, making it a rebranded version of the Oppo A3 4G.
Oppo A40 4G (CPH2669) Specs
Just like the Oppo A3 4G, this device features a 6.67″ LCD HD+ (1604×720) display with a 90 Hz refresh rate, 1000 nits peak brightness, and a pixel density of 264 PPI. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen1 SoC, paired with an Adreno 610 GPU clocked at 1050 MHz. The device runs on ColorOS 14.0, based on Android 14. It is available in a single memory configuration of 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB eMMC 5.1 internal storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card.
The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor with autofocus and an LED flash, while the front houses a 5MP selfie camera. Additionally, the device features an Ultra Flash, offering up to 200% brightness, enabling clear night photography.
The device is equipped with a substantial 5100 mAh battery (rated at 4970 mAh) that supports 45W fast charging. It also includes NFC support, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Unfortunately, it does not support dual SIM functionality.
For added durability, the device offers military-grade impact resistance and liquid resistance.
