An upcoming HTC U24 series smartphone spotted on Google Play Console with Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SOC, Curved display and more

HTC which launched its U23 series last year in May and now it seems that the company has something coming up for its die-hard fans. Earlier, a smartphone bearing the HTC branding but without a moniker was spotted on the Bluetooth SIG. Shortly after, another report emerged of the same device appearing on the Geekbench database. Now, adding to the excitement, we have now spotted the model number “2QDA100” on the Google Play Console listing, revealing some of the key specs it may feature.

It seems HTC is still holding back on revealing the moniker, as it’s missing from the Google Play Console listing. However, key details about this upcoming smartphone has been revealed. The listing unveils that it will feature a chipset with the model number QTI SM7550, corresponding to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC paired with a Qualcomm Adreno 7series GPU clocked at 676 MHz. It will boast 4 cores running at 2.2 GHz and another 4 cores at 1.8 GHz. Additionally, it will come with Android 14 out of the box and pack 12GB of RAM.

The screen size, at 1080×2436 pixels, translates to 6.78 inches, with a screen density of 480 (xxhdpi).

The design showcases a curved display with a punch-hole camera. The volume control and power button are located on the right side. At the bottom, there’s a USB Type-C charging socket, along with a speaker grill located at the bottom right-hand corner. Positioned at the top left-hand corner is a 3.5mm headphone jack. Additionally, there’s a hint of a bluish color that may be featured on this smartphone. There is also a speaker grill that can be seen just above the front camera.

The previous listing on Geekbench didn’t reveal the moniker either, but it is speculated that this model number may belong to the HTC U24 series smartphone. Now, there is a high probability that HTC may soon announce this smartphone, as its predecessor was launched in May of last year.
