WhatsApp Beta Version 2.23.2.11

The latest version of WhatsApp which is currently being rolled out through the Google Pay Beta Program hints that WhatsApp is developing a feature that will allow users to send pictures in their original image quality.

In the previous update of version 2.21.15.7, the update brought a feature that allowed beta testers to choose the image quality between three options – automatic, best quality, and data saver.

However, selecting the best quality still didn’t allow users to send pictures in their original image quality but was compressed before sending.

The new update of version 2.23.2.11 that is currently being rolled out has revealed a settings icon on the drawing tool header which will probably allow users to pick the desired image quality for their pictures.

The feature will definitely be useful where sending the image with the original quality is necessary and a user will be able to send it through WhatsApp itself without relying on any other applications.

This feature is however is still under development and can be expected in the app’s future updates.

WhatsApp is also working on new ways to block contacts and on a feature that will enable users to search messages by the date at which the messages were sent.

These features are also still under development and will be available to all users through the stable updates of WhatsApp.
