On 10 February Volkswagen unveiled refreshed 2024 Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport SUVs at the Chicago Auto show . The refreshed seven and five-seaters offer enhanced technology ,upgraded interior designs and materials and a livelier powertrain .
“The refreshed Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport continue to build on success , with an elegant new interior and a sophisticated turbocharged engine that improves both performance and the driving experience ,” said Pablo Di Si , president and CEO , Volkswagen of America .
What’s new in refreshed 2024 Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport ?
Volkswagen has improved passenger experience with nicer materials and more convenient features . SUVs are equipped with a leatherette-trimmed soft-touch dash and center console . Top range models feature quilted leather seats with diamond pattern . Available ambient lighting with 30 color choices pairs with innovative backlit dash décor featuring model name . Wide swaths of decorative plastic or wood trim are extended all the way onto the door panels .
SUVs offer enhanced technology with standard 12 inch display , 10.25 inch fully configurable Volkswagen Digital Cockpit Pro , IQ DRIVE driver assistance , wireless charging and App connect , 45 W fast charging .
On both cars , there will be a wide chrome four-bar grille id framed by LED headlights with newly standard Adaptive Front lighting system . Atlas Cross Sport models will feature gloss-black grille details and a gloss-black “X” design element . All but the base models will come with an illuminated front VW logo and a light bar that stretches across the top of grille .
The 2024 Atlas family will be powered solely by four-cylinder turbocharged and direct injection TSI engine with 269 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque . Towing capacity remains the same at 5000 pounds . Volkswagen’s 4Motion all-wheel-drive system is available across the model lineup . New wheel designs in sizes ranging from 18 to 21 inches and a larger rear spoiler has been added .
Comfort features include – a heated steering wheel with shaft paddles , ventilated front seats and a height- adjustable passenger seat which are now standard free , Climatronic automatic climate control and Voice control .
Launch of 2024 Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport
Volkswagen said that 2024 Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport will be going on sale in the third quarter of 2023 but the pricing of both the SUVs hasn’t been announced yet .
