Constantine 2 sequel is finally happening , writer Akiva Goldsman confirms to be working on the script

Remember the movie Constantine which released in the year 2005 starring Keanu Reeves , well the writer of the movie has now after years confirmed about the sequel of the movie .

Akiva Goldsman is currently working on the script of Constantine 2 and this information was shared by DiscussingFilm through their twitter account .

Akiva Goldsman says he is currently writing the script for ‘CONSTANTINE 2’.

According to Deadline , Akiva Goldsman said in a statement , “ We’re starting with two projects that are fun and very much Warners ; the sequel to I Am Legend with Will and Michael B. Jordan and the Sequel to Constantine with Keanu Reeves that Francis Lawrence is going to direct . So I’m coming out of the gate fast . We’re doing it with JJ Abrams , Francis and Keanu and I have been pretty deep in the story breaking stage.”

According to the writer the sequel is a credit to actor Keanu Reeves who has many times mentioned that he wants to return to the character of John Constantine . While mentioning this Goldman also told Deadline ,” The character is very much Keanu and the way he and Francis saw the world of good and evil , and the wonderful and authentic noir where there is a world behind the world of good and evil coexist with our world right up close. Beyond that , we are still discovering it as I am writing the script.”

In Constantine , Reeves was playing the character of John Constantine and was seen as the cynical exorcist who had the ability to perceive and communicate with half-angels and half-demons . Now the writer just gave the gist of the sequel in which he mentioned that the sequel will take fans back to a familiar world of good and evil while building on the themes of first movie .

Keanu Reeves return in the sequel is confirmed by the writer himself as the sequel of Constantine wouldn’t be possible without the presence of John Constantine in the movie . Though the writer has not revealed anything about the original cast’s return apart from Keanu Reeves .

Constantine which released in 2005 starred Rachel Weisz , Shia LaBeouf , Tilda Swinton , Pruitt Taylor Vince , Djimon Hounsou and Gavin Rossdale .

For further details about the sequel we still need to wait but it will be very interesting and exciting to watch John Constantine back to the screens .
