VI Supplements 4G Coverage in Mumbai 3G Range to Improve Download Speed
Telecom operator Vodafone Concept said on Saturday that it had begun using 3G spectrum for 4G services in Mumbai and reported that subscribers in the metro city would get faster data rates by re-engineering the spectrum. Vodafone Proposal has 5 megahertz of bandwidth in the 2100 Mhz range used by 3G networks.
Rajendra Chourasia, Operations Director- Mumbai, Vodafone Idea said in a statement that supplementing the current 4G networks with an extension of the 2100 MHz layer has resulted in increased download rates, as well as improved indoor network experience for Vi customers in Mumbai. They invite all Vi 3G customers to visit the closest retail outlet as soon as possible to switch to a 4G SIM, free of charge, and to start enjoying the full potential of Vi GIGANET 4G.
Vi on a 3G network will offer a quicker 4G experience by using a 4G phone and a 4G SIM. This growth comes as a result of the introduction of a 5 MHz 2100 MHz spectrum band, ensures that Vi customers in Mumbai will experience faster download and upload speeds apart from improved indoor coverage.
