The Redmi Note 12S Smartphone Receives Malaysia’s SIRIM Certification

The upcoming smartphone in Redmi Note 12 series, the Redmi Note 12S has just been spotted on Malaysia’s SIRIM certification website. By now the smartphone has received many certifications indicating the imminent launch of the smartphone in the global market.

Redmi Note 12S Appears on the SIRIM Certification Website

Xiaomi’s upcoming smartphone the Redmi Note 12S receives the SIRIM (Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia) certification from Malaysia and has appeared on the certification website with a model number 2303CRA44A.

The smartphone had previously also appeared on the FCC(Federal Communications Commission) and EEC(Eurasian Economic Commission) certification platforms and had also been certified by Singapore’s IMDA(Infocomm Media Development Authority).

All these certifications could only mean that the smartphone’s launch in the global market can be expected soon.

Reports are now also revealing that the device could be a rebranded version of the Note 11S smartphone introduced last year with a change in its fast charge feature. The upcoming Redmi Note 12S is likely going to support a 67W fast charge feature. From its IMDA certification, it has also been confirmed that the device will have connectivity features like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

Based on rumors, the smartphone is expected to come equipped with the MediaTek Helio G96 chipset and is probably going to have RAM of upto 8GB and internal storage of 128 GB. It is also likely going to come preinstalled with the latest Android 13-based MIUI 14 custom user interface.

The smartphone might also feature an AMOLED display with a screen size of 6.43 inches and is likely to have a full HD+ screen resolution. It might also have a refresh rate of 90Hz.

Regarding its cameras, the smartphone would probably bring a quad camera setup on its rear with a 108MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth camera. On its front, the device might also offer a selfie camera of 16MP as well.

The upcoming smartphone might also be backed by a 5000 mAh battery which is probably going to support a fast charge feature of upto 67W.
