AMG GT 63 S E Performance launched in India at Rs. 3.3 Crore , buyers will be handed over the keys by the F1 champion Lewis Hamilton

Mercedes AMG has finally launched the much-awaited GT 63 S E Performance in India. The four-door coupe is priced at Rs. 3.3 crore and is the company’s first plug-in hybrid vehicle. It is the fastest series-production Mercedes model ever and will be brought to India via the CBU route. This vehicle was the much-anticipated vehicle of Mercedes AMG. It has arrived with new bumpers, alloy wheels, a new exhaust system, and a charging port on the rear bumper. But this is not the only thing which attracts the customers towards this newly launched vehicle.

Apart from its impeccable features and praise-worthy design, the biggest surprise waits for the buyers of the GT 63 S E Performance. The buyers will be getting the keys to this four-door coupe from the one and only Lewis Hamilton. Yes, you read that right, the F1 champion will be handing over the keys of this new Mercedes AMG model to its buyers.

The powertrain of the car pairs AMG’s 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 engine with an electric motor mounted to the rear axle to develop 843 bhp and 1470 nm of torque. The four wheels of the vehicle are powered by a nine-speed automatic gearbox. The car could sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 316 kmph.

It includes a 6.1 kWh lithium-ion battery and as claimed by Mercedes PHEV has an electric range of 12 km in the same mode, plug-in hybrid coupe can hit a top speed of 130 kmph.

On the exterior side, the vehicle features chrome – a finished AMG-specific radiator grille, multi-beam LED headlamps, an electrically extendable spoiler, and an E-performance badge. Along with this new upgrades include a revised front and rear bumper, charging flap on the rear bumper, twin exhaust tailpipes, and 20-inch AMG 5-twin forged wheels.

Inside the car, users will be getting an AMG Performance steering wheel, and dual 12.3-inch screens with extended MBUX functions. You get 64-color ambient lighting, automatic climate control, heated front seats, and a 14-speaker Burmester sound system. The car will have seven drive modes – slippery, individual, comfort, sport, sport+, electric, and Race. The vehicle arrives with four levels of regenerative braking with one pedal driving capabilities.
