Samsung Galaxy A24 Spotted on Google Play Supported Devices List, Launch is coming near

A new smartphone from Samsung, the Galaxy A24, is set to surprise us all in the coming days. We recently revealed first-hand details about this upcoming mid-range phone, and it has also been spotted on the Bluetooth SIG certification website, confirming it will come with Bluetooth version 5.3.

Today, the smartphone has also made headlines as it appeared on the Google Play supported devices list. Although the list itself did not reveal any specs for this smartphone, it has been seen on several certification websites, leading us to believe that Samsung may make an announcement about its launch in the coming days. However, there is no official statement about the release of this smartphone.

So far, this smartphone has been spotted on TUV Rheinland, FCC, and SIRIM certifications, giving us a fair idea of which markets this smartphone is going to hit.

Specs, Pricing and Launch timeline

The Samsung Galaxy A24 will feature a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a teardrop notch, supporting a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2408 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. The front camera is expected to be 13 megapixels, while the rear camera setup will consist of a 50-megapixel main lens, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. The smartphone will be capable of recording 1080p videos at 30 fps using both the front and rear cameras.

Under the hood, the Galaxy A24 will be powered by the Helio G99 chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. A 5,000mAh battery that supports 15W charging will back the device, while it will run on the Android 13 operating system with One UI 5 on top. The smartphone will also feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Galaxy A24 is expected to measure 162.1 x 77.6 x 8.3mm and weigh 195 grams. Its middle frame and back panel will be made of plastic.

The smartphone is expected to launch globally in late April, with an estimated price of around $190 (~Rs 16,000). It is also expected to arrive in the Indian market at around the same time, and leaked renders suggest that it will be available in black, green, silver, and burgundy color options.
