Recently Nothing, a London-based company released the first software update for Ear (2) to provide improved sound latency and smoother Adaptive ANC to the users. Not only this the company keeps on trying to fulfill the needs of its customers with the launch of hi-tech devices or by introducing new innovations. The company strives hard to provide an immersive user experience to its consumers.
Hence its users always expect the company to come up with something new, even some of the Nothing fans also pitch in their interesting suggestions which could be further used by the company for the benefit of consumers. A Reddit user has recently done the same thing by posting about a new setting concept. This new setting is called GestureX which can be used to customize gestures and more.

In the above video posted, this new concept is explained in which the user needs to go to settings and tap on GestureX. After opening the GestureX setting user will see many gesture options available to control a few features of your device like – brightness control, One-Hand mode, Off-screen gestures, Screen wake & sleep, hardware button shortcuts, rear top, and Air gestures.
Users can swipe across the notification bar to quickly control the brightness without going to settings or expanding the notification panel. The second is the one-hand mode feature, on enabling it the screen display is shifted to one side of the screen and reduced in size, so that the users can easily reach all the areas of the screen with just one hand.
The next feature is screen wake and sleep in which the user can single /double tap on the screen to show the lock screen and double tap on the lock screen to put it on sleep mode.
Hardware button shortcuts, enabling which users can open the camera on their device by double pressing the power button along with that you can turn on the flashlight of your device by double pressing the volume down button.
With the Rear Tap feature, users can expand the notification panel by just double tapping on the back of the phone and to open the dialer of your device you can triple tap on the back of the phone. With Air gestures, you can open the camera by double-twisting your device.
In Off screen gestures, you can swipe down to play or pause, swipe left to play next, and swipe right to play previous.
This new concept is indeed astonishing and exciting as it definitely will give users a great experience with their device and will save them from the hustle of changing different settings or opening different apps. Just a simple gesture and your work is done. Though let’s see whether this fan-based concept will drive the attention of the company or not.
