The car that was expected to give a major cost advantage in comparison to Mahindra Thar seems to have disappointed customers. We are talking about the Maruti Jimny that will soon be launched in the market. This car has already been shipped to dealerships in several parts of the country and will soon run on the road to compete with segment leader Mahindra Thar. Ahead of its launch, a dealer invoice has been leaked thus sharing some exclusive price details of the Jimny. This invoice has been shared by the Shaan Life channel on YouTube.
The invoice shares the price details of the top-spec Alpha variant. The Jimny will be available in Zeta and Alpha trims. The invoice shows that the assembly value of the car is Rs 9,41,866 which includes the cost of the car and other costs. The CGST and SGST both at 14% collectively add up to the value of Rs 1,31,861.24. Further, the value is added by another cost worth Rs 1,60,117.22. Now the price of the car goes to Rs 13,65,705.70. The road tax, insurance, and registration price together take the price to the final Rs 16 lakh.
If we talk about the Jimny performance it is equipped with the 1.5 liters K15B petrol motor. This motor generates 105 PS of max power and 134 Nm of peak torque. If we talk about the Thar it comes with three engine options which is, a 1.5-liter diesel producing 118 PS / 300 Nm, a 2.2-liter diesel generating 130 PS / 300 Nm, and a 2.0-liter petrol unit that churns out 152 PS / 300 Nm.
