Checkout The New WhatsApp Feature Coming For Wear OS This Summer

WhatsApp is launching its first-ever smartwatch app in the coming weeks. With this app, you will be able to securely start a new conversation, reply to messages by voice and answer calls from your Wear OS-enabled watch without taking your smartphone from your pocket.

The Wear OS is a version of Google’s Android Operating System designed for smartwatches and other wearables. The Wear OS supports Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi connectivity, etc. as well as a range of features and applications. The platform was announced on March 18, 2014, along with the release of a developer preview.

Other than the WhatsApp feature, other features are also coming. With the new controls in the Google Home app, you will be able to check who rang your Nest doorbell in your notifications, remotely unlock your door, and more.

Later this year, you will be able to access Gmail and Google Calendar. With this send, receive and check mail and manage your schedule right from your wrist.

Tiles will give you the information you need with just a quick look or tap. 3 new Spotify tiles are coming very soon and you can easily play podcasts, see what is in your heavy rotation and jump into a curated line-up of music. You can also add the new Peloton tile to track your workout to get to your fitness goals.

The regular platform updates keep the Wear OS watches running fast, safe, and long with strong battery life. Wear OS is bringing you more updates later this year, with new and improved accessibility capabilities like a faster and more reliable text-to-speech experience.
