WhatsApp LLC has invited user to test it’s unreleased version of Whatsapp Messenger
Whatsapp LLC invites its user to test its unreleased version of the Whatsapp Messenger app and send feedback to improve the service. Yes, you read it right, you can be a tester before WhatsApp releases its stable version. With this update, Whatsapp is testing its UI and Edit feature in the Beta version 2.23.11.9 whose stable version will be rolled out in a while.
This is how you can download it
As soon as you tap on this link you will be directed to the Whatsapp website where you will see “BECOME A TESTER”. The moment you tap on it you will be taken to the next page where “download it on Google Play” will take you to the Play Store. The Beta version can be downloaded from there for those who have not installed Whatsapp earlier and updated for those who already have this app on their phone.
Changes introduced
We found out that the Chats, Communities, Status, and Calls bar has been shifted to the bottom. Earlier a swipe could help you to shift from chats to status, and status to calls, but we found that the swipe feature has been disabled too. It means you will have to tap on the community in order to see communities.
All the bars that include chat, community, status, and calls appear with an icon at the bottom and unlike the previous version which gave the community bar a little space, this version gives it equal space.
The previous update caused issues for a lot of users when they experienced the persistent crash while opening WhatsApp. This bug has also been tried to resolve in this update.
Though it’s not a stable version which means it can be changed, a feature that I am missing is its swipe feature to switch between different bars.
