Xiaomi is expected to launch the MIX Fold 3 foldable phone in the second half of this year. To be precise, the device is likely to launch in August. Several details of the foldable phone have already been revealed in recent leaks. Now, a new Weibo post by tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed some additional information about the MIX Fold 3.
The Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 will feature a thin and lightweight design, which is expected to be one of its main highlights. Additionally, DCS claimed that the device will come with an in-screen camera for the internal display. To recall, the original MIX Fold and MIX Fold 2 devices do not have an internal camera.
DCS further said that the MIX Fold 3 will be equipped with a periscope telephoto camera that offers 5x optical zoom. It will support 50W wireless charging. It may also allow users to keep the device open at different angles. According to the leaker, Xiaomi is testing a concept version of a foldable phone. The device will probably be introduced with innovative technologies.
Other reports have said that the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 will have a 6.56-inch FHD+ outer screen, an 8.02-inch internal display with a resolution of 2160 x 1912 pixels, 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It will have a Leica-engineered Sony IMX800 50-megapixel quad-camera setup on the back. The device will support 67W fast charging. It will come in black (leather back) and white (glass back) colour options.
