Mysterious phone with 6,000mAh battery, 100W charging in works
Chinese smartphone manufacturers are making significant efforts to introduce smartphones with larger battery capacities and faster charging capabilities. A new leak courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station reveals that a Chinese smartphone brand is gearing up to launch a 6,000mAh battery smartphone with a 100W charging solution.
Although the tipster did not specify the brand, he did disclose that the phone with these features will be from the Ouga group. For those who don’t know, the Ouga group comprises three brands, such as OPPO, OnePlus, and Realme.
It is highly probable that the mysterious phone equipped with a 6,000mAh battery and 100W charging support may not be a flagship device. Rather, it seems to belong to the upper mid-range segment. In the comment section of DCS’ Weibo post, some individuals have suggested that it might be a Realme phone.
Earlier this year, Realme unveiled the Realme GT Neo 5 and GT Neo 5 SE. The Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 and Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipsets power these phones, respectively. The Neo 5 SE features a 5,500mAh battery with 100W charging.
Reports have revealed that Realme is working on the Realme GT Neo 6 series. It will possibly include at least two devices, such as the GT Neo 6 and GT Neo 6 SE. The forthcoming Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 is likely to power the GT Neo 6. At present, there is no information available on the GT Neo 6 SE model. It remains to be seen whether it packs a 6,000mAh battery and comes with support for 100W charging.
