WhatsApp is rolling out a new beta update with firmware version 2.23.11.19 for Android devices and will be bringing a new screen-sharing feature.

Here’s more about it.

WhatsApp 2.23.11.19 Beta Update

Meta-owned WhatsApp is currently rolling out a new beta update for Android devices with the firmware version of 2.23.11.19 and the new beta update is bringing a screen-sharing feature to the platform. On updating WhatsApp with the latest beta update, users will be able to find a screen sharing icon at the bottom of a WhatsApp call along with the camera switch, camera off, mic off, and end call icons and on selecting the screen sharing icon, the user s screen will be recorded and shared with the recipient.

However, currently, only a selected few beta testers will be able to find this new feature with the latest beta update, and users who use an older version of Android, may not be able to find the new screen-sharing feature. Users might also face difficulty even when the recipient is using an older version of Android. It should also be noted that the new feature is not available on group calls.

Along with the new screen-sharing feature, the 2.23.11.19 beta update also brings a change in the bottom navigation bar. The order of icons in the bottom navigation bar will be changed from Communities, Chats, Status, and Calls to Chats, Calls, Communities, and Status.

As mentioned only a selected few users will be able to find the new screen-sharing feature with the latest beta update and Whatsapp has promised to roll it out to more users in the coming weeks.
