Xiaomi and Optiemus partners to facilitate homegrown Xiaomi audio products

When the ‘Make in India’ movement came to practice, the nation saw more home manufacturing of products. In a similar line, Xiaomi plans to manufacture its audio products in India soon. Optiemus Electronics Limited (OEL), an Indian company joined hands with Xiaomi for the said purpose. OEL will manufacture Xiaomi’s audio products at their factory in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

OEL has its global headquarter in Noida and Optiemus Infracom is its parent company.

The goal of the partnership is to gain a 50 percent increase in smartphone domestic value addition. The company plan on achieving this in a period of two years.

With the localization of products as an aim, Xiaomi plans on producing high-quality ‘Made in India’ devices. The partnership between Xiaomi and OEL would thus accelerate the localization of products and components with effective prices.

The development comes as part of a larger initiative in the Artificial Internet of Things (AIoT). Xiaomi’s consumer AIoT (AI+oT) platform has user connectivity of 589 million smart devices.

OEL’s director, Nitesh Gupta expressed that the company is eager to deliver great value through state-of-the-art infrastructure for Xiaomi.

At this point, Xiaomi India is motivated to empower itself as a key player in the electronics domain. They would strive on offering advanced technology with worthy prices to the nation.
