Oppo, OnePlus and Realme segregated into individual entities

Oppo, OnePlus, and Realme are collective sub-brands of BBK Electronics Corp. In recent developments, BKK has announced that the three companies will function as separate entities.

In present times, the Indian Government has ensured strict scrutiny of Chinese companies. The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence has established allegations against many Chinese brands in regard to income tax evasion, customs violations, fraud, and money laundering.

The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence notified Oppo India last year, on grounds of evading Customs duty worth Rs 4,389 crore.

Subsequently, Oppo reported that their bank accounts were frozen by the authorities. This prevented them from accessing about Rs 2,082 crore. Oppo expressed that consequently, this instilled doubt and insecurity in the prospects of the company.

Previously, Oppo Mobiles India was in charge of OnePlus and Realme distributions. But with a new plan of action, OnePlus and Realme will have their own legal companies. These companies are OnePlus Technology and Realme Mobile Telecommunications (India).

BBK Electronics Corp’s motive behind this decision is not to risk their business in India from government actions in the future.

According to new reports, OnePlus and Realme are in search of contract manufacturers in India. Oppo was manufacturing for them previously.

OnePlus Technology India has initiated billing and distribution contract processes with retailers and OnePlus distributors. Realme Mobile Telecommunications will follow up on the same.

The effect of these in the Indian market would be significant as Oppo, OnePlus, and Realme are some of the most sought brands in the nation.
