Meet the all new, fully redesigned Lexus GX with a modern powertrain, an updated safety tech suite and much more
Lexus GX mid-size SUV was already among the favorite of many consumers and now the automobile company is finally introducing a new version of the GX mid-size SUV for 2024. This is the first meaningful update in more than a decade, also the GX will be the first Lexus to wear the Overtrail badge, adding more off-road equipment and capabilities to the big SUV.

It comes equipped with a 3.4-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 engine that offers 349 horsepower and 479 ft/lbs of torque. Meanwhile, the ICE V6 is coupled to a 10-speed automatic transmission, and towing capacity is now rated at 8000 lbs. There’s even a new Overtrail trim that leans into the GX’s off-road prowess, adding useful items like 33-inch all-terrain tires wrapped around 18-inch wheels, an electronic locking rear differential for better traction, and an aluminum skid plate.
On the interior, the 2024 GX comes standard with a wireless Apple CarPlay Integration and Android Auto compatibility as well as a 14-inch touchscreen display. Standard on every GX is the Lexus Safety System+3.0, which includes adaptive cruise control, pre-collision safety systems, and lane keeping and lane departure systems with steering assistance. The 2024 GX is available in six trims.
Lexus has also mentioned that a hybrid powertrain will be available in the USA at a later time.
