[Exclusive] OPPO Reno 9A Specifications, Renders and Hands-On Images Revealed: Launching Soon in Japan

OPPO announced its Reno 9 series devices late last year, on the 24th of November 2022 and released the devices on the 2nd of December 2022 in China. The series included the Reno 9, Reno 9 Pro and the Reno 9 Pro+ devices. Now the Chinese consumer electronics makers are going to launch another Reno 9 series smartphone, the OPPO Reno 9A and the device will be soon launching in the Japanese market, just like the previous OPPO Reno 7A smartphone.

Before its official launch, The Tech Outlook is bringing to our most anticipated readers the specifications, renders and hands-on images of the upcoming OPPO Reno 9A smartphone.

OPPO Reno 9A

The upcoming OPPO Reno 9A will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G octa-core chipset, with its two primary cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and its six base cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. It will also run on the Android 13-based ColorOS 13 custom user interface. Regarding its storage, the device will have an inbuilt RAM of 8GB, expandable upto 16GB with the 8GB virtual RAM and an internal storage of 128GB, which can be expanded to upto 1TB with a microSD card.

For its display, the OPPO Reno 9A will be featuring a punch-hole AMOLED display panel with a screen size of 6.4 inches. Its display will also be having a screen resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels and will support a refresh rate of 90Hz.

At its rear, the device will sport a triple camera setup with a main camera of 48MP, an ultrawide angle camera of 8MP and a 2MP macro camera along with its LED flash. For selfies, a 16MP front-facing camera will also be offered on the device.

Coming to its battery backup, the OPPO Reno 9A packs a 4500 mAh battery backup which supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0/ USB Power Delivery Revision 2.0. With the fast charge support, the charging time of the device is reduced to 118 minutes.

About its other specs, the upcoming OPPO Reno 9A is a 5G device and will be supporting 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G network connectivity. The smartphone has a single sim card and microSD card tray and will have eSIM support. It also supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth connectivity of version 5.1, USB 2.0 support, USB tethering, OTG, FM radio(with earphones) and a 3.5mm audio jack. Apart from these, the device also supports an in-display fingerprint sensor and a face unlock feature.

Speaking about its body, the device has a dimension of 74 x 160 x 7.8 mm and weighs a total of 183 grams. It is also IPX8/IP6X6 waterproof and dustproof. Two colour variants of the device will be made available and users can pick from Moon White and Night Black colour choices.
