The New 15-inch MacBook Air Is Out For Purchase Now

The CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, has officially announced on Twitter that the new 15-inch MacBook Air is available today. You can order the device from Apple now.

There are two variants of the 15-inch MacBook Air being sold; the MacBook Air M2 model with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD storage and the MacBook Air M2 model with 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD Storage.

This MacBook comes in 4 finishes; Midnight, Starlight, Space Grey, and Silver. This MacBook is thin at 11.5mm. The new 15-inch MacBook Air has a 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display with 500nits brightness and 2880 x 1864 pixels resolution surrounded by 5mm bezels.

This MacBook has an HD FaceTime camera 1080p for the best quality video calls. A 3-mic array captures clean audio using advanced beamforming algorithms.

For the auditory experience, this new MacBook Air features a new six-speaker sound system with two tweeters and two sets of force-canceling woofers. The new speakers deliver twice the bass depth for fuller sound and Spatial Audio with the support of Dolby Atmos.

Apple users can effortlessly work across Mac and iPhone with continuity features like Handoff, AirDrop, Universal Clipboard, and Messages. With iCloud Shared Photo Library, users can create and share a separate photo library among up to 6 family members.

This MacBook has the M2 chip which results in its best performance. It is up to 12x faster than the fastest Intel-based MacBook Air. This MacBook delivers up to 18 hours of battery life.

On this MacBook, there is a powerful 8-core CPU with 4 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores, a 10-core GPU for faster graphics, and a 16-core Neural Engine. The M2 also delivers 100GB/s of memory bandwidth and supports up to 24GB of fast unified memory.
