Female Hackers in India- meet the women keeping us netizens safe
The gender gap and in the field of cybersecurity has been a chronic problem for a long time. A new look at the workforce revealed that the percentage of women in cybersecurity is roughly 24%, while men continue to outnumber women in cybersecurity and pay disparity still exists. While progress is progress, however slow, amplifying the names, work and voice of women in the cybersecurity space are how we can help. Here are a few of the top women in the field, and here’s to them!

Advocate Puneet Bhasin is a Pioneer in Technology Laws in India and a Cyber Law Expert practising in Mumbai in matters involving Cyber Crimes, E-Commerce and Intellectual Property disputes in cyberspace along with advising online service providers as well. Bhasin also assists the Rajya Sabha Committee on reforms in Cyber Pornography Laws in India and is also a member of the Cyber Security Task Force Working Group on Skills and Policy Development for the Digital India Movement.
2. Vandana Verma
Vandana Verma is a Security Solution Architect at IBM, India with over 12 years of experience specializing in application, Infrastructure/network, Mobile and Cloud security domain which includes manual and automated code review, vulnerability assessment, pen-testing and remediation support. She has been the recipient of multiple prestigious awards like Cyber Security Woman of the Year Award 2020, Global cybersecurity influencer, and the Cybersecurity Women of the year award by Women Cyberjutsu Society. Along with all of the awards to her name, she has also been listed as one of the top women leaders in this field of technology and cybersecurity in India by Instasafe. Talk about a gold-getter!

Her skills in the analysis of Securities Market Domain & Systems from Operational, Techno-Functional and Regulatory perspective make her a force to reckoned with.

Ms Sathyan is a Security Analyst at CloudSEK, a company that works with AI-powered risk monitoring. Her skills include working with the information technology and services industry. She is also skilled in Pen-testing, VA/PT, Mobile Testing, Network pen-testing, and source code review.
