The Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer, OPPO after the launch of the OPPO A78 5G smartphone, is preparing for the launch of its 4G variant. The upcoming device has already appeared on multiple certification platforms and is expected to launch on the 7th of July 2023 in the global market.
Now ahead of its expected launch, the device has made its way to the Geekbench database, revealing its performance specs and further confirming some of its already-known specifications.

OPPO A78 4G Geekbench Listing
The OPPO A78 4G smartphone has been spotted on the Geekbench database by friends over at MySmartPrice with the model number, CPH2565 and has scored a single-core score of 411 points and a multi-core score of 1263 points. The Geekbench database also confirms that the device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset and will run on the Android 13-based operating system.
Now coming to its core specifications, the chipset will have a core configuration of 4+4 cores and will be having a clock speed of 2.40 GHz for its primary cores. The other four base cores are clocked at 1.9 GHz.
As mentioned, the upcoming smartphone apart from its Geekbench listing has already made its appearance on multiple certification platforms as well. The OPPO A78 4G smartphone has by now received the TKDN, NBTC, IMDA, SIRIM, FCC and Bluetooth SIG certifications. The promotional materials of the device were also shared online and its full specifications is now known to us.
OPPO A78 4G Revealed Specifications
The upcoming smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset and is to run on the Android 13-based ColorOS 13.1 custom UI. The device will have an 8GB/256 storage variant, with 8GB virtual RAM support and expandable storage of upto 1TB.
For its display, the smartphone will feature an AMOLED display panel with a screen size of 6.43 inches. The display will also have a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels(HD+) and will support a refresh rate of 90Hz.
At its rear, the smartphone is also revealed to sport a dual camera setup with a 50MP main camera and a 2MP bokeh camera. For selfies, the device will also offer its users an 8MP front camera.
The OPPO A78 5G smartphone is also to be backed by a 5000 mAh battery, which will support a SuperVOOC fast charge feature of upto 67W.
Two color variants of the smartphone will be made available and customers will be able to pick from Misty Black and Aqua Green colour choices.
