Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series complete specs revealed ahead of launch
Samsung is gearing up for the launch of flagship-level devices on July 26 during the Galaxy Unpacked event. The Galaxy Watch 6 series is also expected to be unveiled during the event.
This series includes Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic which have already bagged certifications from various websites like FCC, NBTC, Bluetooth SIG certification, and more. Rumour Mill has also revealed some of the key specs though in components but key specs.
Recently a tipster named SnoopyTech shared a document on Twitter and wrote “Galaxy Watch6 and Watch6 Pro just passed FCC” and now he has shared a complete specs list of Watch6 and Watch6 Classic leaving little for further leaks and reports.
Galaxy Watch 6 specification
As per the tipster, this Galaxy Watch 6 will come in two sizes 40mm and 43mm whereas Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will come in 47mm and 43 mm sizes. The Galaxy Watch 6, 40mm size, and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, 43mm size will come with a 1.31” AMOLED display that sports 432×432 pixels resolution and 330 ppi. The Galaxy Watch 6 44mm size and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 47mm size will come with a 1.47″ AMOLED display and sports 480×480 pixels resolution and 372 ppi.
As per the tipster front and back glass are expected to have Sapphire crystal protection. Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will boast a rotating Bezel whereas nothing has been mentioned for Galaxy Watch 6 as such. It will be IP68 water and dust resistant and will be powered by the Exynos W930 processor that was recently spotted on Bluetooth SIG certification. As far as storage is concerned, tipsters revealed that Galaxy Watch 6 series smartwatch will pack 2GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage, and will run Wear OS.
The body will be made out of Aluminum and Galaxy Watch 6 will come in Graphite, Grey, Gold, and Silver whereas Galaxy 6 Classic will come in Black and Silver colour. The 40 mm size variant of Galaxy Watch 6 and 43mm size variant of Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will be backed by a 300 mAh battery whereas the 44 mm size variant of Galaxy 6 and 47 mm size variant of Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will be backed by 425 mAh battery.
A notable point revealed by the tipster is that Galaxy Watch 6 will be 28% lighter than Watch 5 Pro and over 40% lighter than Watch6 Classic. Its newly developed sleep functions will analyze and measure the smallest detail to give better recommendations than before.
Both smartwatches will be available in Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + Cellular(LTE) variants. It will come with notification, vibration, microphone, and speakers. And as far as health specs are concerned it will come with Pedometer, SpO2 level, Heart rate monitor, ECG directly on the watch, and Calorie counter. Sensors include Accelerometer, Magnetometer, Barometer, Gyroscope, Compass, and Temperature.
