Samsung is reportedly working on to incorporate electric vehicle battery technology for fast charging in Galaxy S24 Ultra
Samsung is reportedly working on adopting 65 W fast charging technology for Galaxy S24 Ultra by incorporating electric vehicle battery technology. This has come out through a Twitter post posted by RGclouds name tipster who revealed that this technology is also being used in iPhone 15 lineup. This technology is expected to come in either Galaxy S24 Ultra and S24 Plus or only in Galaxy S24 Ultra because of production constraints. As far as its battery is concerned it’s rumoured to remain the same as Galaxy S23 models which is a 5,000 mAh battery.
If we talk about the recent lineup, Galaxy S23, its S23+ and S23 Ultra models came with 45 W fast charging whereas the S23 variant came with 25W charging support. And if S24 Ultra breaks the previous records by setting the bar high it would be a notable improvement. Stacked batteries which are used in EVs are known for offering improved charging efficiency and overall performance compared to the winding technology currently employed.
A notable point that the tipster revealed is about the cooling gel that will make sure to keep the phone cool for 65 W fast charging and stability. The heat issue is one of the biggest constraints in fast charging that acts as a resistor and cooling gel can make sure to keep the temperature in control.
If we talk about the progress, a rumour claims Samsung is in the stage of prototyping stacked batteries for smartphones while others say the company is getting prepared to start production in the Cheonan plant. And the latest rumour claims the Cheonan plant still lacks the required equipment for production.
