Mass Effect Legendary Version Release Date scheduled for May 14th

Mass Effect Legendary Version has set the May 14 release date, BioWare revealed Tuesday in a release trailer for the long-anticipated 4K remaster of the original Mass Effect trilogy. It will cost Rs. 3,999 in India and $60 in the US and will be available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Pre-orders are available now. Mass Effect Legendary Version will also be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X, with next-gen consoles providing “targeted enhancements” of their own. The 4K HDR remaster features single-player material from 2007 Mass Effect, 2010 Mass Effect 2 and 2012 Mass Effect 3 along with more than 40 downloadable content (DLC) stories, weapons and armour sets.

BioWare is pushing three big issues for the Mass Effect Iconic Version. This continues with the three Mass Effect games currently rendered in 4K Ultra HD resolution with HDR (high-dynamic-range) imagery. Character styles, colours, tones, and VFX have all been remastered. The initial Mass Effect trilogy now also provides the depth of view, along with improved lighting, shadows and volumetrics. Mass Effect Legendary Version will deliver a seamless 60fps experience on PS5, Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 4 Pro, and Xbox One X, BioWare announced, with next-generation consoles also benefiting from shortened load times. The PC edition will support fast refresh rates and 21:9 widescreen displays.

Mass Effect Legendary Version will also feature a single character builder in all three titles. You get more options when selecting the character’s hairstyle, skin tone, and make-up. Last but not least, Mass Effect 3’s female Shepard is available as the default female Shepard in the trilogy, while BioWare did not mention whether she took back actress Jennifer Hale to do additional voice work.

“It’s been an incredible journey revisiting the stories, characters and iconic moments of the Mass Effect trilogy, enhancing the experience for modern platforms while staying true to the spirit of the original,” Mass Effect Legendary Edition project director and the original trilogy’s lead writer Mac Walters said in a prepared statement.

Mass Effect Legendary Version will be released on May 14th on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It will also be playable on PS5 and Xbox Series S/X over backward compatibility. You can pre-order Mass Effect Legendary Version now, priced at Rs. 3,999/$60.
