PayPal won’t consider any payment system for Indian domestic market as it is shutting down its operations in India
PayPal Holdings Inc. will end its domestic payments operation in India on 1 April, the firm said in a statement on Friday.
Instead, PayPal, headquartered in San Jose, California, will concentrate on its cross-border payment business, which means that global consumers will still be able to pay Indian retailers using the app.
“From 1 April 2021, we will focus all our attention on enabling more international sales for Indian businesses, and shift focus away from our domestic products in India,” the company said.
“This means we will no longer offer domestic payment services within India from 1 April.”
