Realme GT 5 battery size for its 150W charging variant officially confirmed

On Aug. 28, Realme will announce the Realme GT 5 in the Chinese market. At present,  the brand is busy teasing some of its key specifications. In recent teasers, the company confirmed a couple of times that the GT 5 will support 240W fast charging. However, reports have claimed that it will also have a 150W charging variant. Today, the brand released a poster to reveal that the battery capacity of GT 5’s 150W charging variant.

As can be seen in the poster above, the Realme GT 5’s 150W charging variant packs a 5,240mAh battery. The company claims that this variant can go from 0 to 100 percent in just 18 minutes, using the 150W GaN charger. According to the brand, the highly efficient battery of the GT 5 will offer 1600 charging and discharging cycles.

As far as battery durability is concerned, the company claims GT 5’s can remain in good health until four years. With support for UFCS charging protocol, the GT 5 will support cross-brand compatibility.

As per reports, 240W charging variant of the Realme GT 5 may pack a 4,600mAh battery. Apart from differing in battery size and charging capabilities, the two variants of the GT 5 are expected to pack the same specs. It is expected to arrive with a. 6.74-inch OLED 144Hz display    with support for 1.5K resolution, a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, up to 24GB of RAM, up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, a 16-megapixel front camera, and an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel triple rear cameras.
