PM Narendra Modi praises Sikhs for their contribution in India on twitter
On Monday, Narendra Modi made a fervent appeal to the demonstrators to put an end to their protests against the new farm legislation, thus asking opposition parties for their abrupt “U-turn” on agricultural reforms.
The Prime Minister also hit those behind the demonstrations, claiming that a new “breed” of agitators has arisen in a world that cannot exist without agitation, and that the country should be wary of them.
He also said that the latest FDI (Foreign Destructive Ideology) has arisen in the region and “we need to be more aware to save the country from such ideology”.
Modi also stressed that India is very proud of the contribution of the Sikhs and that the language used by some would not help the region. He said that some people were even attempting to defame the Sikhs.

On the farm sector and the ongoing protest, Modi said, “MSP was there. MSP is there. MSP will remain in the future. Affordable ration for the poor will continue. Mandis will be modernised”.
Modi said that since 2014, his government has implemented reforms in the agriculture sector aimed at empowering farmers.
