Piyush Goyal Tweets about Koo; Twitter’s Alternative

On Tuesday Union Minister, Piyush Goyal tweeted of joining homegrown Twitter alternative Koo that was launched in March 2020. It is similar to Twitter but also avails in Indian Languages.

In government’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat app challenge2020 was organised to encourage local app development wherein Koo won the Best Aatmanirbhar Bharat App. Koo allows users to follow individuals and write messages in text or record and share them in audio or video formats.

Piyush Goyal tweeted, “I am now on Koo,” “Connect with me on this Indian micro-blogging platform for real-time, exciting and exclusive updates. Let us exchange our thoughts and ideas on Koo.” He is also the in-charge of Commerce and Industry, Railways, Consumer Affairs, and Food and Public Distribution.

Other politicians apart from Piyush Goyal are a part of Koo’s family including the Minister of Electronics and IT Ravi Shankar Prasad and Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa; Additionally, It also has the accounts of various government ministries and departments, such as the Central Board of Indirect Taxes (CBIC), MyGovIndia, Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY), Digital India, India Post, National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), and National Informatics Centre (NIC), etc.
