Xiaomi’s 14 Series Teased to Arrive with Leica Summilux Lens: Launching this Month

The Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi will soon be unveiling its 14 series devices in its home market in China and now, ahead of it, the brand has officially teased the series, revealing one of the camera specs.

It is now official that the upcoming Xiaomi 14 series smartphones – the vanilla Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro devices, will be featuring the Leica Summilux Lens. The teaser image shared also points out that the devices will be having its launch this month itself, in the month of October 2023, as expected.

Other than the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro smartphones, the series also includes the Xiaomi 14 Ultra device, but it will only be launched on a later period, likely next year.

To add, the upcoming Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro smartphones have already been certified by the MIIT as well as by the 3C certification authorities of China. The 3C certification the devices had received also confirmed that the vanilla Xiaomi 14 smartphone will support a 90W fast charge feature, whereas the Pro model will have a faster 120W fast charge support.

Recently, it was also confirmed by Xiaomi CEO and founder – Lei Jun that the brand will be introducing its self-developed operating system based on Android and the Vela system – the HyperOS, and it will be first coming to the brand’s 14 series devices.

Following the official updates, a tipster on the Twitter/X platform had also revealed a leaked image of the HyperOS 1.0, which mentions the launch date for the operating system as 31st October 2023, at 7PM local time, likely also the launch date for the 14 series devices too.
