Netflix released the trailer of the upcoming Nollywood Horror film, “The Origin: Madam Koi Koi” on October 20, 2023. The Nollywood film will be available on Netflix on the 31st of October, 2023. You can have a check on the trailer for the film here.
Premise: A dark vengeful spirit comes back to existence in an isolated college. It is drawn by the school’s grim history of sexual violence and one student’s mysterious ties to the past. The spirit who was forgotten for decades is now seeking vengeance.
Jay Franklyn Jituboh has directed the film.
The film is an ominous horror film, which explores the backstory of the Nigerian urban legend, the ghost of Madam Koi Koi.
Cast: The film features Martha Ehinome, Jude Chukwuka, Iretiola Doyle, Nene Nwanyo, Chuks Joseph, Kevin T. Solomon, Temidayo Akinboro, Iremide Adeoye, Ejiro Onojaife, Tolulope Odewunmi, Deyemi Okanlawon, Baaj Adebule, Chioma Chukwuka, Akpotha, and Omowunmi Dada in some of the major roles.
The legend of Madam Koi Koi: According to Nigerian and African urban legend, Madam Koi Koi is a ghost who sheds her terror in dormitories, hallways and toilets in boarding schools at night. During the day, she haunts the toilets and students who come to school too early or leave the school late.
