Today iQOO has officially announced that the users in India can now easily upgrade their 4G devices to 5G just by following some simple steps.

Since Jio/Airtel are the telecom companies that are providing the 5G Network service at a faster speed all over the world, the brand has issued instructions for the Jio/Airtel users.
How to upgrade a 4G device to 5G?
Jio users
- Use 5G mobile phones
- The version has been upgraded to support the 5G version or a later version
- Enable 5G switch in Settings- Network & internet- SIM card & mobile network-Jio (5G and SA preferred)
- Confirm with Jio or search India 5G coverage map in the browser to know whether you are in the city with 5G coverage by Jio
- Note that users need to be in a good Jio coverage area most of the time with a valid active plan of Rs.239 or higher prepaid/postpaid and mobile data cards can register SA while non-data cards can register neither SA nor NSA
- After following the steps Jio team will take a look at whether all the requirements are met by the user or not
- If all the requirements are met then the users will be eligible to enjoy Jio 5G services on the same day
Airtel users
- Use 5G mobile phones
- The version has been upgraded to support the 5G version or a later version
- Enable 5G switch in Settings- Network & internet- SIM card & mobile network-Airtel (5G preferred)
- Confirm with Airtel or search India 5G coverage map in the browser to know whether you are in the city with 5G coverage by Airtel
- All Airtel prepaid customers with recharge with Unlimited packs starting from Rs.239 and above are eligible to claim and experience unlimited 5G data (Prepaid packs of Rs.455 and Rs.1799 are not eligible)
- The mobile data card can register SA and NSA while non data card cannot register SA but can register NSA
