Samsung launched Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro to celebrate its legacy of innovation

South Korea based tech giant Samsung recently launched a new colour variant of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphone. And before that, this flip smartphone’s BTS Limited Edition was launched for BTS fans. Now the company has once again come with a limited edition of this phone Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro. This launch showcases the company’s legacy of innovation over the years. And to showcase it, the company chose its SGH-2003 mobile phone which was launched 20 years ago in 2003.

Samsung’s SGH-2003 was the company’s first mobile phone to feature a built-in antenna. As per Samsung, it played “a pivotal role in advancing Samsung’s position in the mobile phone industry”. Samsung has incorporated the history of this phone with a combination of indigo blue and silver colors, a UX design interpretation of 2000s Pixel graphics, and an exclusive animation of Flex Window in Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro.

Its special package includes three flipsuit cards featuring logos, a flipsuit case, and a collector card with a unique serial number.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro will be available in limited numbers and will go on sale from November 1 in South Korea, the UK, Germany, Spain, and Australia. For France, it will go on sale from November 2.

The company has yet not revealed the price of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Retro. In case you are looking for this limited edition phone, you need to hurry as it’s a limited edition.

Specifications of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 comes with a 6.7-inch wide Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 120 Hz display and a 3.4-inch AMOLED flex window. The handset is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor paired with the Adreno 740 GPU.

It packs 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512 GB UFS 4.0 storage. It runs on OneUI 5.1.1 based on Android 13 out of the box. The camera section includes a 12 MP main camera with OIS and, a 12 MP ultra-wide camera on the rear. It has a 10 MP selfie camera. It is backed by a 3700 mAh battery that supports 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.
