Vivo’s subsidiary and one of the leading smartphone makers, iQOO, will be debuting its iQOO 12 series smartphones in the Chinese market tomorrow, and the vanilla iQOO 12 5G device is already confirmed to make its way to the Indian market too.
Now, iQOO India has teased the upcoming iQOO 12 5G as the first smartphone to launch in the country equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.

iQOO 12 5G – India’s First Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Smartphone
Following the release of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset by Qualcomm, many smartphone makers have announced their flagship devices that are to launch with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset onboard, and iQOO has also confirmed that its next 12 series smartphones will also be powered by the latest Snapdragon chipset.
iQOO India CEO, Nipun Marya, around the same time, had shared via his official Twitter account that the iQOO 12 5G device will be India’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 smartphone, and later confirmed its launch date(12th December 2023) in the Indian market.
iQOO India has now officially teased the smartphone through its Twitter handle, further confirming that the iQOO 12 5G device will be the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 smartphone in India, and has used the tagline “The First Ever”.
It has also been revealed that the smartphone will be unveiled exclusively on Amazon India’s shopping platform, as well as on iQOO’s official Indian website. The launch page has also now been listed on Amazon.

Some of the other expected specifications of the iQOO 12 5G device include a 6.78″ OLED 1.5K display with 144Hz refresh rate, 50MP(main) + 50MP(ultrawide) + 64MP(telephoto) triple camera unit, 5100 mAh battery, and a 120W fast charge support.
