Nothing shipped its two million product in market in the span of three years
Nothing recently shipped its two millionth product. London-based tech company Nothing founder Carl Pei in an exclusive interview given to The Times UK said “It’s small for our industry, but I think it’s pretty huge for a company that’s only three years old,”
He further said in the interview that several companies are manufacturing such products but he was most happy because of the capabilities that they have built- manufacturing, supply chain, design, and development.
What a ride.
And we're still only just getting started. Thank you to everyone who helped us hit 2 million. pic.twitter.com/NXgBcfXlah

He is aware that the number is not big or close to the volume of Apple or Samsung or any big guys. He said “We’re still nowhere close to the volume of Apple or Samsung or any of the big guys. Unless we start showing that we can get there in the next couple of years I think we’re going to lose support from our suppliers; they want to support us but you have to grow.”
He entered the market because “the industry got boring”. Pei also mentioned that “products are not that different from before”. So why would users buy them in the same number as before?
The company has its characteristic design and its self-developed Nothing OS that Pei says is designed to tempt the customers. He also mentioned an interesting rumor that says Nothing product in their second iteration is receiving applause from Apple’s design team. Carl said that Nothing is planning to add one or two more product categories in the coming days.
And interestingly he thinks that the future is somewhere else and smartphones will be replaced as primary computing devices and he hopes that Nothing can play a major part in this. He is unaware of how the product will look like but he says that AI can be at the heart of it as per the The Times UK report.
