Red Magic 9 Pro to feature BOE Q9+ display, support 2160Hz PWM dimming
Red Magic 9 Pro and 9 Pro+ are set to debut on Thursday (Nov. 23) in China. So far, the brand has already confirmed many details about the Red Magic 9 Pro series. Today, it released the following posters to reveal the details about its display.
The above posters show that the Red Magic 9 Pro will feature a BOE Q9+ display, which is the same screen that was made available on the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro. Hence, it appears that it could be equipped with a 6.74-inch display. What’s interesting about the Red Magic 9 Pro’s display is that it does not have a punch-hole cutout, which means it will offer an impressive full-screen experience.
The company has confirmed that the Red Magic 9 Pro’s display will support 2160Hz PWM and DC dimming. In addition, a live shot of the device that has been available on Weibo for around a week revealed that it will offer a resolution of 2480 x 1116 pixels. While there is no confirmation about the screen’s refresh rate, it may continue to support a 120Hz refresh rate like the Red Magic 8s Pro series.
The Red Magic 8s and Red Magic 8s Pro differed in departments like RAM, storage, battery, and charging. The same can be expected from the Red Magic 9 Pro series. The Pro+ edition could likely be equipped with 24 GB of RAM, 1 TB of storage, and a 5,500mAh battery with 165W charging. On the other hand, the Red Magic 9 Pro may arrive with up to 16 GB of RAM, 512 GB of storage, and a 6,500mAh battery with 80W charging.
