OnePlus 9R and 8T Smartphones Now Eligible for OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 1 Program
The Chinese consumer electronics maker, OnePlus, has made its flagship 9R and 8T smartphones eligible for the OxygenOS 14 open beta 1 program.

Users of the OnePlus 9R and 8T smartphones in India can now apply for the OxygenOS 14 open beta 1 program to experience the latest custom skin and its features on their devices. However, do note that this is a beta version and its stability can’t be guaranteed. Some of the OxygenOS 14 features may also not be present in the beta version.
Regarding the features that can be expected, an upgraded Aquamorphic design and Aquamorphic-themed ringtones and system sounds are part of the beta version. Improvements in system stability, launch speed of apps, and smoothness in animations are also there. The photo and video management system has been improved, and a File Dock feature has been added. A carbon tracking AOD is also an added feature.
How to apply?
Interested users can submit their application in the “Beta Program” section on “About Device” in Settings. If the user is found eligible, the update will be rolled out. Only 5,000 users(each) will be taken into the beta program of the two devices
Users should also ensure that their device runs on the latest stable version of OxygenOS before applying. Before updating the device with the OxygenOS 14 open beta 1 update, they must also ensure a total of at least 4GB storage and 30% battery charge.
To roll back to the previous OxygenOS stable version, users can download the zip package from the respective OnePlus server and then locally install it.
