Honor Magic V3 Porsche Design premium foldable phone could be in works

Honor is reportedly working on two GT-branded phones, such as the Honor X50 GT and the Honor 90 GT, for the Chinese market. As per rumours, the brand will unveil the Honor Magic 6 series of flagship phones in China in January. Reports have also claimed that the company may unveil the Honor Magic V3 foldable phone in the first quarter of 2024. A new leak claims that there could be a Porsche Design version for the V3.

For those who don’t know, Porsche Design originated as a design studio established by the individual responsible for crafting the inaugural Porsche 911 sports car in the 1960s. When it comes to smartphones, the studio teamed up with BlackBerry to launch a couple of phones around ten years ago. Subsequently, it engaged in a collaboration with Huawei that lasted for over seven years.

Now, Porsche Design is expected to soon enter a partnership with Honor, starting with the Magic 6 series of flagship phones, which is expected to launch in January in China. As per the new leak, the Honor Magic V3 may have a premium Porsche Design variant, which may command a hefty price tag.

According to reports, the Honor Magic V3 could be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. Speculations are rife that the device will face competition from the likes of the Nubia Z60 Fold and the Vivo X Fold 3 series, which are also expected to feature the same chip.

The Honor Magic Flip, the company’s first flip-style foldable phone, is also in the works. There is a possibility that it may debut along with the Magic V3.
