Huawei unveils industry’s first open earbud, FreeClip; coming to UK and Europe in late December
The Chinese brand Huawei has announced its new gadget today called the FreeClip which as per the company is the industry’s first open earbud that arrives with a unique C-bridge design, open-ear listening technology, auto left-right recognition, and much more. The earbuds arrive with a minimalist spherical shape and a C-bridge design. FreeClip is divided into three parts- Acoustic Ball, C-Bridge, and Comfort Bean. The earbuds are interchangeable with self-adoptive left and right audio channels. Each earbud weighs 5.6g. As claimed by the brand, these earbuds have surpassed 25,000+ readability tests. The earbuds arrive with a 10.8mm dual magnet high-sensitivity driver unit and offer sterling sound quality.
Sound leakage is minimized by a sophisticated reverse sound wave system built inside the acoustic ball. Users can enjoy AI Crystal-Clear calls with the help of a windproof mic, talk mic, VPU mic, and a multi-channel deep neural network algorithm. The earbuds offer up to 36 hours of battery life and up to 8 hours using the earbuds alone. They can be fully charged in just 40 minutes. Earbuds can be controlled by various touch controls. The earbuds can be connected to two different devices simultaneously. The buds are IP54 splash-proof.
Huawei FreeClip: Pricing and availability
FreeClip arrives in two color variants- Purple and Black. In the UK it is priced at £180 and in Europe, it is priced at €200. FreeClip will be arriving in these markets by late December. UK buyers will get a free Huawei Band 8 if they order the FreeClip between December 12th – and January 29th. The device has been listed on the company’s official website.
