OnePlus 9RT – OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 2 Update

Building over the previous OxygenOS 14 open beta 1, the OxygenOS 14 open beta 2 version will have more functional optimizations, but as it is still in the beta phase, the version is still not stable and will have certain issues in it. However, a few improvements and bug fixes are part of the second beta update.

Firstly, the November 2023 Android security patch will be integrated to enhance overall system security. The device will also receive improvements in system stability and performance. The battery life has been extended, and the issue that caused the Home screen to be unresponsive has been fixed.

Other improvements have been brought to the stability of mobile network connections, Wi-Fi connections, and camera functions. The blurring issue in images captured in Pro mode and the App Market crash issue have both been resolved as well.

How to Apply?

Interested users can apply for the OxygenOS 14 open beta 2 update by submitting the application via the “Beta program” section in “Settings”. If selected or found eligible, the open beta 2 update will be rolled out.

Before applying, ensure that the device runs on the latest stable version of the OxygenOS, and there is at least 30% battery charge and 4GB storage space left within the device. Also, do keep in mind that carrier models won’t be compatible with the open beta builds.

Rolling back to the previous OxygenOS stable version is also possible after updating, and for this, users will have to download the zip package from the respective OnePlus server and then should locally install it on the device.
