Realme 12 Pro, Realme 12 Pro+ monikers, model numbers confirmed via TDRA certification
Realme is reportedly developing the Realme 12 Pro series of smartphones for China and other markets. Today, the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ received TDRA certifications in the UAE, suggesting that these devices are nearing an official release.
The Realme 12 Pro has the RMX3842 model number, while the Realme 12 Pro+ has the RMX3840 model code, as shown in the TDRA certification screenshot above. Previously, both devices had appeared in the databases of certification platforms in countries like Indonesia and India.
The Indonesian and Indian certifications contained the model numbers but did not disclose their marketing names. The TDRA certifications that have emerged today have finally confirmed the final names of both smartphones. In all likelihood, the Realme 12 Pro series will debut in the first quarter of 2024. It is expected to compete with the Redmi Note 13 Pro and Note 13 Pro+, which are set to launch in the global market in the next few days.
Realme 12 Pro, Realme 12 Pro+ specifications (rumoured)
According to reports, the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ will continue to feature a curved-edge OLED panel that produces an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, both devices are expected to feature the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset.
The Realme 12 Pro’s rear camera setup is expected to feature a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 telephoto camera with support for 2x optical zoom. On the other hand, the Realme 12 Pro+ may arrive with a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Shown above is a mock render of Realme 12 Pro+. The series is likely to be priced at around 2,000 CNY (~$280) in China.
