Honor X50 Pro key specifications, design revealed, possible online as Honor X50 GT expected

Honor will unveil the Magic 6 series of smartphones in China on Jan. 10 and Jan. 11, 2024. Rumours on Weibo suggest another phone, the Honor X50 Pro, may launch alongside the Magic 6 series, or potentially even earlier in January. This rumor stems from a circulating poster on Weibo that reveals the X50 Pro’s key specifications and design.

The poster showcases the Honor X50 Pro sporting a rounded camera module. Although the camera specs remain under wraps, it features a dual-lens setup accompanied by a pill-shaped LED flash. The device’s right side houses the volume rocker and power button. It’s expected to arrive in at least two colour options: black and green.

The poster also reveals that the Honor X50 Pro’s screen supports a 1.5K resolution of 2652 x 1200 pixels and 429ppi pixel density. In all likelihood, the device will have a curved-edge OLED panel integrated with a fingerprint scanner.

The X50 Pro will feature the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and a 5,800mAh battery, which reportedly supports 35W fast charging.  The other specs of the device are yet to be revealed. It is speculated that the phone will have the Honor X50 Pro branding for the offline market, and it will be the Honor X50 GT in the online market of China. The X50 Pro is likely to be priced at around 2,000 Yuan (~$280) in the home market. At present, it is unclear whether it will be released outside of China.
