OnePlus 12R Smartphone Global Variant First Look Revealed: Featured in Two Colors

The Chinese consumer electronics maker, OnePlus, is expected to unveil the Ace 3 smartphone in China on the 4th of January 2024, and its rebranded version, the OnePlus 12R, will debut on the 23rd of January 2024 in the Global market along with the latest flagship 12 smartphone.

Now, ahead of its launch, the first look of the OnePlus 12R device has been revealed online, and we get to see the upcoming smartphone in two of its color choices.

OnePlus 12R – First Look Revealed

Based on the China Telecom website listing, the OnePlus Ace 3 device was pointed out to come in three colors – Star Black, Moon Sea(Blue), and Sand Gold. The new Sand Gold color variant was also recently teased by the brand in China.

The OnePlus 12R device in Black and Blue colors has been featured on the first look. This further suggests one more thing, the Gold color may not be available for the OnePlus 12R device (also mentioned by the tipster).

The smartphone from the first look shows great resemblance to the previous 11R, as well as to the now-launched flagship 12 smartphones. The camera module looks similar to the OnePlus 12 smartphone’s (but without the periscope telephoto lens).

Spec-wise, the OnePlus 12R and the soon-to-be-released OnePlus Ace 3 would remain the same, except for the custom skin. The Ace 3 would probably be running on the Android 14 based ColorOS 14 custom skin. The 12R device, on the other hand, would possibly have the OxygenOS 14 based on the Android 14 operating system.

Features such as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, 6.78″ curved-edge OLED display supporting 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, 50MP + 8MP + 2MP triple camera setup, 16MP selfie camera, 5500 mAh battery, 100W wired fast charge support can all be expected for the OnePlus 12R device as well since it is likely going to be the rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 3 flagship.
