MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra officially confirmed to make it’s debut in India on an upcoming POCO device; POCO X6 series launch page live on Flipkart

The smartphone brand POCO will soon be launching it’s POCO X6 series in India. Recently the teaser for the same was also revealed online. The series is said to include POCO X6 5G and POCO X6 Pro 5G smartphones. Lately these devices have been making their appearance online which revealed few of the details about the devices.

Today POCO India has officially announced that MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra will be making it’s Indian debut on an upcoming POCO device.

Recently reports revealed that POCO X6 Pro 5G smartphone could be powered with this chipset and now the above announcement made by the brand also strongly indicates towards the same thing. Though the company has not officially revealed the moniker of it’s upcoming device which will be powered with this chipset therefore we do need to wait for the confirmation.

As per Xiaomi/Redmi, Dimensity 8300 Ultra is the same chipset as Dimesnity 8300 but with some tweaks. In China, Redmi K70e is powered by Dimensity 8300 Ultra and now this chipset is all set to make it’s debut in India too.

Apart from this the launch page for POCO X6 series has been made live on Flipkart’s official website and the URL of the page hints that the series could make it’s debut in January 2024.

POCO X6 series: Specifications (expected)

POCO X6 5G might feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that offers FHD+ screen resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. It might arrive with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. It is believed to pack up a triple rear camera setup that includes a 200MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera, and a 2MP macro sensor. While on the front it could feature a 16MP selfie camera. It is supposed to be backed by a 5100mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging.

POCO X6 Pro 5G is said to be a rebranded version of Redmi K70e. It might sport a 6.67-inch OLED display that offers a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It could feature the Dimensity 8300-Ultra chip, up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage, and a 5,500mAh battery with 90W charging. It is believed to arrive with a 16-megapixel front camera and a 64-megapixel (main, with OIS) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit.
