The Chinese leading smartphone and other consumer electronics manufacturer, Huawei, has unveiled two new smartphone devices for the South African market under its Nova Y62 series.

Huawei Nova Y62 Series – Released in South Africa
The latest Huawei Nova Y62 series smartphones are powered by a 2.2 GHz octa-core processor, and have the Android 12 based EMUI 12 custom skin pre-installed. The vanilla model has a RAM of 4GB, whereas the Plus model packs an 8GB total RAM. Both the smartphones also have a 128GB inbuilt storage, and a dedicated microSD card slot.
For the display, the two feature an IPS LCD display panel, having a screen size of 6.52″, aspect ratio of 20:9, and a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels (HD+).
Coming to the cameras, a triple camera unit is present on both the smartphones, housing a 50MP primary shooter and two additional 2MP cameras for depth and macro purposes.
Regarding the battery backup, a decent 5000 mAh battery is backed within the two devices, which will support a 22.5W wired fast charge feature.
Other specs include features such as a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 4G VoLTE network connectivity, dual SIM card slots, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Speaking of the price and availability, nothing in particular have been shared yet and we’ll probably have to wait until it is officially revealed. However, we do know that the smartphones have an exquisite ID design, and will come in two colors of Sapphire Blue and Midnight Black.
