Honor Magic V2 foldable smartphone found listed on IMDA certification website
Chinese company Honor launched its first foldable smartphone Magic V2 in China in July month of last year. It came with the tag of being the world’s slimmest foldable smartphone. Just recently the smartphone has been found listed on the IMDA certification website with the model number VER-N49. And just in December, it received GCF certification. Its IMDA listing suggests it can soon be launched in Singapore though a final date remains under the wrap.
When the company first put this phone on the global stage in Berlin at IFA 2023, it didn’t specify the availability timeframe which left all in doubt. This phone was earlier speculated to launch in Malaysia on January 03, 2024, after the company teased users with a post of the foldable phone without specifying it. Now the reports say that it can merely be a product announcement rather than a complete launch which means buyers will have to wait a bit more.
It’s been months since the company launched the Honor Magic V2 in China and since then several foldables have been launched in the global market. And Honor Magic V2 still runs Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 rather than recently launched smartphones that are powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.
To remind you, the Magic V2 features a 7.92-inch 120Hz OLED display on the inside and a 6.43-inch cover screen. It packs 16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage. It is backed by a 5000 mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging.
