Honor Magic 6 Series Specifications Teased as Scheduled Official Launch Nears

The Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer, Honor, will soon be officially unveiling its Magic 6 series devices in the brand’s home market in China, and as the official launch approaches, a few key specifications of the series have been teased.

As per the two teaser images shared, Honor’s Magic 6 series will be featuring a second-generation Qinghai Lake battery, and will support the brand’s Hongyan Satellite Communications technology.

The day after tomorrow, from the 10th of January 2024 to the 11th of the same month, Honor will be conducting a two-day launch event in China, which will mark the debut of the series. Three smartphone devices will be unveiled – the vanilla Magic 6, Magic 6 Pro, and the Magic 6 Porsche Design model. To add, the pre-reservations for the upcoming smartphones are currently live. The brand has also officially revealed that the vanilla and pro models will have Sea Lake Green, Liuyun Purple, and Qilian Snow colors, and a tipster had suggested two more color choices.

Magic 6 and Magic 6 Pro – Expected Specifications

Honor’s Magic 6 and Magic 6 Pro smartphones will likely be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, and are said to have quad-curved OLED display screens. The vanilla Magic 6 smartphone is probably going to have a single centrally-aligned punch-hole cutout, whereas the Magic 6 Pro is pointed out to have a pill-shaped cutout (suggesting a dual front-facing camera unit).

Coming to the rear cameras, a 50MP OmniVision OV50H primary shooter and a 50MP OV50M ultrawide lens are expected at the back of the two devices. The Magic 6 smartphone is revealed to have up to 512GB storage options, and on the other hand, the Magic 6 Pro will be offered with storage variants ranging from 1TB, according to the pre-order details.
