Alleged Xiaomi Mix 5 may feature dual under-display cameras, Snapdragon 8-series chip, and more
DCS has recently leaked information about an upcoming mysterious flagship smartphone equipped with a powerful Snapdragon 8 series processor. While the tipster has leaked key details of the smartphone, he has not mentioned its name. The leaked details suggest that he could be talking about the Xiaomi Mix 5.
Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi Mix 4 featuring the Snapdragon 888 Plus chip in August 2021. Since then, it has not launched a Mix-series smartphone, though it has launched a couple of Mix-branded foldable phones. A recent report claimed that the company could be working on the Xiaomi Mix 5.
The report said that the Mix 5, which bears the 2503AVP01C model number, may launch in 2025. Even reliable tipster Digital Chat Station recently claimed that Xiaomi will not release the Xiaomi Mix 5 this year. However, in a new Weibo post, he has seemingly shared the first details about the device.
According to the tipster, a mysterious new device, currently undergoing testing, is expected to sport a bezel-less display design thanks to the extremely slim bezels on all four sides. He said it is powerful, equipped with the Snapdragon 8-series chipset. In addition, the device will feature a pair of under-display cameras and a telephoto lens that supports up to 4x optical zoom.
As can be seen, the tipster has not explicitly mentioned the Xiaomi Mix 5 moniker in the leak. However, the suggested specs hint that it could be the next-generation Mix series phone.
