Migrate Google Podcasts Subscriptions to YouTube Music/Other Apps
Alphabet Inc.’s Google has made the plan of discontinuing Podcasts with the aim of creating a centralized podcast destination on YouTube Music, catering to the requirements and needs of both listeners and podcasters. Many leading and well-known podcast shows are already available on YouTube Music and for those that aren’t available, users can bring it in via the podcast’s RSS feed. On the other hand, for podcasters, they will first be able to find a much more larger number of audience for their podcast, at the same time will also be able to use creation and analytical features of YouTube Music.
Regarding the migration of podcast subscriptions, Google starting from today is rolling out a tool which will aid in the process. In the coming few weeks, users will be able to find a banner at the screen in Google Podcasts from where the tool can be accessed. The tool also supports exporting subscriptions in OPML file format, which can be uploaded to any other podcast apps through “uploads” and transfer the subscription to the respective platform.
The California-based tech giant, Google has also invested a lot on the YouTube Music platform, and users will be able to enjoy much better features and a seamless experience with improved listening experience, discovery features, auto-downloads, and enhanced integration support.
